Born in the heart of San Francisco and raised in the vibrant North Bay, Dr. Greg Meyers embodies the spirit of community and innovation that defines the region. His journey into dentistry began with a strong family foundation; growing up alongside his father and brother, both dedicated dentists, who instilled in him the core values of compassionate patient care and unwavering commitment to excellence. Education and Professional Journey
Dr. Meyers' academic path started at UCLA, where he graduated in 1992 with a degree in sociology, fostering his deep understanding of people and relationships; skills that shine in his patient-centered approach. He then ventured to Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1996. Not stopping there, he pursued specialized training, securing a Periodontal Certificate and a Master's Degree in Dentistry (MSD) in 2000. His groundbreaking master's thesis explored the critical link between periodontal disease and heart health, a pioneering contribution that continues to influence modern dentistry.
After honing his skills in private practice in Cleveland and serving on the staff at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Hospital's dentistry program, Dr. Meyers returned home to the Bay Area in the early 2000s. He shared his expertise as a faculty member at UCSF and UOP dental schools before founding Pinole Periodontics & Dental Implants in 2010. Today, his practice stands as a beacon of advanced periodontal care, offering services like dental implants, gum grafting with the innovative Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique, and laser-assisted therapies.
